Dave Kerpen is an entrepreneur, author and former reality television personality. He first received media attention in the Boston sports market in the late 1990s and early 2000s for his unique vending sales strategies at professional sporting events.
He went on to appear as a contestant on Fox's 2003 reality television series, Paradise Hotel, and earned additional media attention for his "sponsored wedding" in 2006.
He is currently the CEO of Likeable Local, a social media software company for small businesses, as well as Chairman of Likeable Media, a social media marketing firm and in addition to the New York Times bestseller Likeable Social Media, is also author of the books, Likeable Business, and Likeable Leadership.
Dave is a frequent keynote speaker at venues around the world and a contributing writer for LinkedIn, Mashable, Inc, Fast Company, The Huffington Post, Forbes, and The Washington Post. His work has been featured on CNBC, ABC World News Tonight, the CBS Early Show, BBC World News, and the New York Times, among others.
This updated version of the New York Times bestseller beautifully explains how marketing in a social media world is not about broadcasting your message and getting the largest reach and frequency.
It’s about tapping into the conversation, listening, engaging, and empowering. The loudest, biggest spenders don’t win anymore. The smartest, most flexible listeners do.
The book includes 18 strategies to help you create an irresistible brand through online social channels to become more transparent, responsive, engaging and profitable.
New to social media? It also includes an appendix that is a primer on the most popular social media channels. If you want to get a handle on this week’s social media technicalities and minutia, this is not the book to read. But if you are a CEO, business manager or marketer who wants to gain a really solid strategic foundation for using social media to grow your organization and build your brand, read this book and you will rule!
